We take the time to consult with you in detail to walk you through the entire process, working to exceed your expectations form start to finish. We will discuss our pricing options, procedures we use and the time frames required to get the job done as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest quality control standards in the industry.
Once an agreement is made we will schedule the best possible time for you to have your aircraft delivered to us. We want to make this entire process as smooth and as easy for you as we can. We can assist you in your need for transportation by scheduling a rental car to be available to you upon your arrival, as well as hotel accommodations if needed.
First we remove the polyurethane topcoat. Protective masking materials are applied to the aircraft wherever needed ensuring that all openings will be sealed. The aircraft & controls will then be stripped using chemical stripper, rinsed with fresh water & then sanded to remove all paint and primer residue that was not removed by the stripper. Composite parts will be sanded as needed. The aircraft will then be wiped with etch, scrubbed, and neutralized with water. Alodine (chromic acid) will be applied to treat skin for corrosion protection.
The next step in our process is to apply primer to your stripped, sanded & cleaned aircraft prior to painting. Protective masking materials will be used to protect proper areas and the aircraft will be wiped down with a solvent cleaner. One coat epoxy corrosion protective primer will be applied and two coats of high build fill primer will be applied to fuselage and tops of the wings as needed. Now we are ready to paint!
First we apply a one color base paint to your aircraft, followed by three coats of high quality polyurethane aircraft coating. The layout process is done using fine line tape. Layouts are done in accordance with the customer’s request. Additional in-house design is always available to our customers when needed. We will then paint the landing gear and the gear doors.
After all the painting, curing time, and finishing work, your aircraft will be ready to go and will look more beautiful than ever. You will of course be needing fuel, and we will make sure to get your aircraft fueled and ready to go. Once everything is said and done, prepare to make your departure. We thank you for your business and look forward to being there for you when you need us again.
